Here's how to comment

Thanks to our dear friend Barry Hunter, we now understand a bit more about how to comment. Since that was the main reason we went to this style of Whortleaves -- so you can comment -- it was very helpful info.

As to how you can comment, just look below this post and see the place where it says "0 comment" or "1 comment" or whatever number. Click on those words and a blank space will open where you can post your comment.

Next it is going to want to identify you by some ID you have with LiveJournal, WordPress, TypePad, AIM or OpenID. None of those mean anything to me. If it's the same for you, use the one that says "Google" and put the Whortleberry URL -- "WhortleberryPress.com." That ought to do it.

Okay, give it a try and happy commenting!

There's a big world of book blogs out there

Here's an interesting bit of info from Publisher's Weekly:

Newspapers may be continuing to cut their book coverage, but the Internet is home to an ever-expanding hive of blogs about books. Some 250 book bloggers attended the first-ever Book Blogger Convention in May, an event held at Manhattan's Javits Center the day after BEA ended. Sponsorships from major New York houses and lots of love from independent presses helped cement book bloggers' place in the industry. Here's a list of all 200-plus attendees and the links to their blogs: bookbloggerconvention.com/attendees.

If you click on that "attendees" hot link, stand back. A horde of blogs will come pouring out -- some look interesting. Of course, there's always room for one more, if you decide to create your own.

Welcome to this new Whortleaves page

Friends, I'm trying something new here. This is a "blog" page which reportedly will enable YOU to comment on this same page. I always appreciate your thoughts and ideas, and I think the Forum just isn't quite doing the job for us. So let's give this a try and see how it works. Has anyone had experience with the http://www.blogger.com site? That's what this is, and I'm far from having figured out how it works yet.

Please post a comment somewhere here, so we can see if the response function works at all. Thanks in advance!
